On Sunday, March 15, 2026, Pastor Zach preached a sermon entitled: "An Inheritance of Instruction" from Proverbs 4:1-13. In that sermon, he encouraged parents:
We must teach our children to prize and treasure the Lord’s ways. We must teach them the Word of God, as David taught Solomon here to treasure wisdom and insight. We must guard it by not just giving our thoughts or opinions (though kids should hear those things), but by giving them the Word of God and practical, godly wisdom.
There will be all kinds of distractions and devices and events and sports and other things that are good, but if we aren’t careful, can take the focus of our family off of raising young men and women who will shine as the light of Christ in the midst of the darkness.
MVBC desires to come alongside families and help equip with resources for raising our children and grandchildren in the ways of the Lord.
